Pastor Richard Notice is a native of Jamaica and was born in the little district called Sherwood Content located in the northern parish of Trelawny. Converted at age nine he became a strong believer in serving God as his parents Bishop Raymoth Notice and Pansy Notice were his role models. He is a graduate from Bethel College from which he attained a Bachelors degree in Theology. In 1990 he began his full time ministry and was assigned to a rather young congregation Salt Spring New Testament Church of God where he severed for over 10 years. It was a time of tremendous growth as Pastor Notice guided scores of young people to a deeper relationship with God. The locality was volatile and with God covering and wisdom Richard navigated his way and gave his congregants confidence to serve and carry out Gods mission. In 2001 he was asked to take up a difficult assignment in Negril Jamaica where the previous pastor had defected, taking over 100 members with him. Pastor Notice accepted the challenge and with Gods help the church grew and in one year the church became the District headquarters. It was during this time that he cemented his call and became a more mature and grounded servant of God. In 2004 he accepted the call to pastor in the United States of America. When asked what brought him to America he boldly declares God placed a burden in my heart and I could not resist. Pastor Notice now pastors the Greater Works Community Church of God in Stamford Ct located at 724 Pacific Street formerly known as the Stamford Church of God where he is also the District Overseer. Ministry and speaking engagements have afforded him the privilege of travel to the Caribbean, England and the USA where he has shared the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Notice has training in chaplaincy and spends time caring for the sick within the hospital which is located in Stamford. His wife Archica and Children Romaine and Aaliyah are all supporters of his ministry. He believes that ministry cannot be totally effective and productive unless ones family surrounds the minister. Pastor Richard Notice favorite saying is: *THE GREATEST MIRACLE IS THE SAVING OF A SOUL*. |
