Greater Works Community Church of God
Richard Romayne Notice was born in 1994.  Romayne is a very intelligent, friendly and easy to get along with young man. His melodious voice followed by his rhythmic drumming skills adds talent to the youth group at Greater Works. Romayne is the present vice president for the youth department and is always ready to help the department grow. Besides the work done in church he is very involved in his community. In the summer of 2006 Romayne was accepted in the Jr. NYLC Program in Washington D.C. At this program he learned how to enhance his leadership skills and had the opportunity to meet with some of the leaders in the country.  Furthermore Romayne was accepted in the UPALS Program at UCCON where he got a chance to experience college courses for one month. At school it was always said by teachers that Romayne was a great student who had the potential to do even better. From the age of 11 Richard was put in to a program called AVID. This program was designed to help kids prepare for college at an early stage and to challenge them in their academic work. In 2004 Romayne migrated from Jamaica to the USA this was a very hard time for him because he was taken away from his regular environment, but eventually got use to the American life. His desire is for his father never to accept another transfer, until he has completed high school. Romayne is a supporter of his father’s ministry and recently in our camp meeting made a bold public declaration by indicating that he feels the call of God on his life for full time ministry.  It is also his life long goal to become a medical doctor following closely in his uncle footsteps and two first cousins who are presently at med school.  Recently Romayne graduated from Scofield Magnet Middle School and was the lead soloist for his school’s choral ensemble. He will begin his first year in high school as of September 2008. As Romayne progresses in church and school we pray that Romayne will stand firm on Christianity and will always be a role model for others.
